Here we have a vintage 1966 Fender Bassman head, in good shape.
It is heavy to carry with the 4×10″ speakers and massive iron transformers.
The height also makes it difficult to carry, making you sweat when hauling it between gigs.
I use vintage correct parts whenever possible, and carry in stock: tubes, transformers, carbon comp resistors, tube sockets and most any part needed to get your amp in top shape and back to spec.
I don’t recone speakers, or carry new replacements here, but can normally get them in quickly if needed.
Serial number 3648, original Jensen P12R alnico magnet speaker, just reconed.
Amp just thoroughly serviced, grounded cord added.... A rare find as these higher watt 50's Fenders were expensive in the day.
If you’re into sparkling clean tones, a silverface can do the job just as well as a blackface amp.
The blackfaces have more growl and a distorted, cranked tone.
With bottom-end headroom characteristic of 6L6 tubes and a versatile all-12AX7 tube preamp, the Hot Rod Deluxe III amp offers luscious Fender spring reverb, an effects loop and more.
